The band has been doing great, as they increase on getting booked all over the place. Chaparral has added an new memeber to the band, which plays keyboard. Chaparral has been looking for a new keyboard player for awhile now, until Jack Mooten(Lead Guitar) found one in Music Masters in Laurinburg, NC by the name of Chris Fowler. Jack was painting a speaker cabinet for a church, when Chris walks in Music Masters to look at a couple of keyboards. Jack said to himself, "Oh no, not another ---- keyboard player. I've been listening to keyboard players in this store ever since i've been working, and cant none of them play." Well as Chris looked at an Alesis QS8, he was interested at this keyboard. After looking at the keyboard, Chris starts to play, and Jack looks at Chris very suprised to the way he could play. As Jack keeps on listening, he looks at Quack, and says, "this guy is good," so when Chris played a couple of more songs, Jack says with a big smile, "well im going to give him my number and the managers number, and get him to play with us in the band." Jack asks Chris would he be interested in playing, and Chris replied YES. So Chris has alot of work to do until band practice night. Chaparral is glad to have Chris try for the keyboard slot. Thanks Chris!!!! It's hard to believe that Chaparral is booked all year, until New Years Eve of 2000, as they steadily work there way up to the big time deals. Jack replies, "It's hard work, but practice makes perfect, so I believe if the band give 110%, we can do it." Chaparral Band gives thanks to Tim (Manager) for making this possible, where Chaparral shows there talents off to people at clubs, parties, events, and much more.
